Check the 'www' directory in the file manager and see if the index page is named corectly and there are no capital alphabets used in the file name index.htm or index.html.

When you say annually, do you mean pay you all the money up front, or pay monthly for one year?
You must pay the full year at once.

What does it cost to transfer a the domain name ?
There is no fee for pointing the name servers to our server but incase one wishes to change the registrar then a charge of one year renewal cost is levied for the same and the domain gets renewed further for 1 more year from the date of its expiry. It is a procedure laid by the registry/registrar and we have no say in it. It is mandatory that transfer of domain from one registrar to other registrar needs one year further renewal. Please beware that we register domains with Enom.com who is world's largest registrar.

Do you charge additional fees for using the mySQL database?
It depends upon package.

What is a virtual domain?
A Virtual Domain means having your own domain (http://www.your-name.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however, you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.yourname.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@yourname.com).

Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name.

Sure. You can use the Fetch program to transfer files from your MAC to our system. You can also use the POP e-mail programs like Eudora, Claris E-mail and Netscape Mail.

We stand no surety for the contents of the websites hosted on our servers by our clients or resellers clients. It is the sole responsibility of the client to maintain all the backups of the websites and No guarantees are made of any kind, either expressed or implied, as to the integrity of the backups if at all they are taken by us. Backups if made for any specific server are made for server restoration purposes only. It is the clients' responsibility to maintain local copies of their web content any information. If loss of data occurs due to an error of Economicalhost.com, Economicalhost.com will attempt to recover the data for no charge to the client but does not guarantee its recovery. If data loss occurs due to negligence of client in securing their account or by an action of the client, Economicalhost.com will attempt to recover the data from the most recent archive for a Rs.2500/- fee.

Do you host foreign domains?
Yes we host all types of domains foreign and domestic.

Can I resell my space to have subdomains?
We only allow 1 domain name per IP address. You can have pointed domains but we do not allow the sharing of web space.

How much is extra bandwidth and/or storage space?
It is Re.0.50 per MB per month with a limit of 10 gig total.

Can I pay extra to have shopping cart ?
No, our shopping cart comes along with the webspace only on our cpanel servers.

Economicalhost.com's web mail is a web based system that performs the functions of a mail client, you can send, receive, and view all the mail from your own website account from anywhere in the world via an Internet connection. May I promote my web site with bulk email?
Spamming is in violation of our service agreement. There are legal and ethical issues involved in mass mailing of unsolicited email. Any user of our services who has sent a large number of unsolicited email will have their account closed within 24 hours and fined to the amount equivalent to $500 as we have to pay this charge to our datacenter in USA for violation of laws.

How can I manage my e-mail users (add/remove/update)?
To add or delete POP boxes, use Mail Manager http://yourdomain.com/controlpanel or https://yourdomain.com:8443/. You can redirect mail by editing the address, un-forwarding to the POP box (which deletes it if that's the only reference to it) and forwarding to whatever email address you desire.

What if I wish to change my webspace hosting to a different domain?
As we bill on yearly basis so changing the hosting to a different domain rather than for the domain for which you bought webspace means making new invoices and complete new addition to our billing and hosting systems. The webspace for the new domain will be added under the current month in which new space will be bought so it is as good as asking for new hosting rather than swapping. We adjust minimum six months charges paid by you towards the initial hosting for any changes in hosting of domain as a new invoice will be raised and balance six months if left will be adjusted in that bill. Incase you have been with us for 6+ months or more than nothing can be done if there is any requirement for swapping of space for any existing domain name.

Different Registrar may have different pricing. We do domain name registrations for Rs.499 per year. No third party will bill you for the domain name except us. To clarify and assure you further their will be only one bill for Rs.499 per year that too raised by us and nothing else ( There are no hidden charges for the same.)

What is InterNIC, I have heard about it?
InterNIC was the agency which was the sole authority for registration of domain names ending with .com, .net, .org, .edu, .mil, and .gov.
